As Layer 1 blockchains continue to compete for dominance, we’re starting to see a trend toward multi-chain ecosystems. Projects like Polkadot, Cosmos, and Avalanche are positioning themselves as the “internet of blockchains,” where interoperability is key. But the question remains: how do we avoid fragmentation in the ecosystem? Can we build a universal blockchain standard that allows different blockchains to seamlessly communicate, or will competition drive the fragmentation of the Web3 space?
