Apart from the interest, most people read English books to learn English. However, there are too many new words and it is a big problem to remember them all.
There is an effective method. When reading, if you come across new words, try to guess their meanings first. Then only mark out the words that seriously affect the understanding of the text and look them up in the dictionary. Do not give their definitions. For example, p2.
The next day when you start reading again, first find the marked parts yesterday and write down the explanations in your mind. There is no need to force yourself to memorize them. Just try to guess the meanings based on the context. If you can't guess, record them separately in your word notebook.
