$Skitten functions less like a traditional meme and more like a micro-institution experiment.
There’s a treasury with purpose, decision-making processes, recurring funding inputs, and a shared narrative that extends beyond price. Those are institutional traits just scaled down and wrapped in a meme.

The trade-off is clear:
institutions grow slower, but they persist longer.
If Skitten keeps reinforcing these structures, it moves out of the “disposable meme” category. If the structures weaken, the meme reverts to pure speculation.
So the question isn’t hype.
It’s institutional durability.
