I saw people dropping their different opinions on why the fertility rate in Africa is high, i laughed so hard cause it’s not a statistics thing, it’s pure psychology for the majority. Built deep down in our brain, having more children means less work for you(the parent) in the future, could go as far as saying incase they lose one, they still have other kids( only a small percentage now though) but in the past some actually believed it that way.
