I can elaborate. Back in Alaska, someone was hacking facebooks and scamming. Long story short, traced the IP address to Africa…only to be told it was a FAKE IP address that you can easily use by using a proxy site. Found out it was a lady in California that has her fake IP set to Africa. P.S. there’s ways to change your iPhone so it shows your IP address coming from another part of the world. Learned from POKEMON GO!!!!!! If I can do it, scammers can do it.

scamming for crypto is not widespread in india There is no adoption of crypto by scammers 😂😂 maybe some ransomware that shows deposit btc to some x address and did you know some indians got scammed in the name of job offer in abroad and ensalved to work in scam call centers in countries like Myanmar

It’s so crazy how Africa especially Nigeria gets blamed easily for scam. Yesterday I was a victim of these whole generalization of Africa scam shit @veiva would testify🙃

this is a simple case of the bandwagon effect. a lot of people have constantly talked (on social media) about getting scammed by indians/nigerians so people tend to believe that the bulk of scams come from these places.

It still amaze me how some people think though, to think this particular person emphasized Nigeria and India ? Most them haven’t even met a Nigerian in person. the people sending me wallet draining link in my dm ain’t even Nigerian judging by there English and the way they text !!!
