Lately, launchpads have often been positioning themselves as VCs. You launch a token for something, your project gets a little support, you make a bit of money from fees, get attention from “hardcore fans of your product” — but this is a short-term model. I used to believe in this myself, because it looks like a model independent of everyone. However, lately I’ve been leaning more towards a few options: 1. You act on your own and find the path to profitability for your project, without relying on tokens, and only then consider the possibility of tokenization. 2. You reach out to people with significant experience, whether VCs or someone else. Launchpads are not interested in your success — they are interested in the short-term fees you bring them. The next day they’ll be shilling something else. And in a week, they'll forget about you. This damages the entire ecosystem and fosters even more short-term behavior and token printing.
