UVB is much better for immune mediated hair loss or skin disease. 

But it’s also accessibility, one that most patients get scared away from hearing ‘UV’ so a re reluctant. And second that narrowband UVB which is ideal, is hard to get/expensive.

I thought red light therapy was a gimick compared to UVB therapy?
