An old editor of mine is starting a magazine about recovery after getting sober 5 years ago. I have never had a substance abuse problem but I have lost so many friends to them and I asked him if I could write something about how drugs and alcohol have impacted my life even though I have rarely done them myself. He is interested in the article but I think he thinks it's going to be mostly photography with just some short captions, because that's the only writing I ever did for him back in the day. Really hoping to actually write something he likes for more than the images that go with it. I am about 800 words in and maybe a 1/4 of the way through and I am writing this to you guys instead of actually working on it, but it's so heavy it's hard to do all at once. Anyway, here's a couple of the photos I might use to illustrate it.
