After the negative news about the rate, many started to shorts sharply, expecting to see a continuation of the correction. However, this led to shorts dominating the market, which in turn caused a move in the opposite direction from the initial reaction to the news, to gather local liquidity. The rate expectations were a bit different, but as always - with such events you have to be prepared for a move in both directions, as we can only guess what the outcome of the rate change might be, but it depends on too many factors that are 100% impossible for us to predict. The rate reduction will probably take a bit longer.....
