you're good using the latest one most of the time, although i use 4o for everything.

I noticed big diff in reliability and answer quality with o3 when coding, but for everything else. Eh. Idk

I think this differentiation matters little for casual tasks 

Makes a big difference if you’re paying per call in an app

+ o3 high for any scripts and clean up vibe coded results

i barely touch 4o. 

mainly in o3 + deep research great for deep dives and throwing a lot of data at it. sometimes throw 4-5 csv files

also good for multiple transcripts and code work

it’s like having your own analyst and grad student
