Well, v2 expands far beyond single-call payments -- multi-chain support EVM, Non-EVM chains, fiat compatibility via CAIP, dynamic payTo routing, a fully modular SDK, extensions for identity & discovery, and most importantly, wallet-based access that eliminates repaying on every single request.
If the agentic economy really takes off, payments can’t stay in the “send-and-wait” model. They need to be instant, identity-aware, access-based, and extensible. x402 V2 is moving exactly in that direction.
