Perspectives and trajectories diverge from hers
in the eyes of the beholder, different manners
of resisting one's own sensations, one's own
accumulated thoughts. There is no way, unknown
is what others really think, and live, and why
should they do as we say? do you even try?
The image that reflects the ways of others
is often steeped in their thoughts, useless
walking in those shoes or fighting furrows
so deep, ploughed in tears and blood, in pains
benign, resolving aches that change the shades
with which we see the world, terrible lovely arrows.
Bleeding allows destiny to follow our tracks, agreed
it directs and attracts it, a wounded heart's need.
