Apple has... *really* lost the plot. my *brand new* iPhone 16 Pro Max is a total piece of ๐ฉ (not sure how much is hardware vs. software, but it's slow and broken...๐ซ ) /campfire was originally going to launch as iOS-only (SwiftUI), but i'm now strongly considering launching as a hybrid using React Native (or similar?) instead couple asks of the peanut gallery: 1) what are your favorite libs/frameworks/tools for hybrid dev? (cc @jpren.eth @bli.eth @subtlegradient) 2) what is a great Android handset? i need one ๐๐ป

Tbh I think the network effects of react native are really significant for development, especially when it comes to AI tooling. And with the release of the new architecture (basically a rewrite of react native) and Expo 53, there should be a significant performance bump.

Apple is historically slow with new tech rollout, I do fully expect a large leap from them at some point But this past year or so has been a lot of awful software updates to photos etc

iOS only apps are douchey. I'm using a Pixel 8 Pro. I like it.

Why RN over SwiftUI? You get more performance for iOS this way. RN will be difficult to keep up with long term
