Peter, originally named Simon, was a fisherman from Galilee.
He was one of the first disciples called by Jesus and became one of the closest to Him.
📖 Key facts
• Jesus renamed him Peter, meaning “the rock”
• He boldly walked on water toward Jesus — and also doubted
• He denied Jesus three times, yet was fully restored
📌 Anecdote
Peter promised he would never abandon Jesus.
Yet, on the night of the arrest, fear overcame him.
After the resurrection, Jesus did not reject Peter — He restored him and entrusted him with leadership.

Peter reminds us that faith is not about perfection, but about returning to Jesus after failure.
