If you can get any tree in the world to grow in your yard, what would it be? I have them already, they are rowans. The rowan is the sacred tree in the Finnish tradition. I have planted a small sacred grove in the middle of my yard. I planted rowans that I brought from three different important places. This grove doesn’t look like much, particularly now when those rowans are still small. I didn’t plan it primarily for aesthetics, but for its spiritual significance. Here is this small grove of rowans on the All Saint’s Day 2023. In Finland it’s a tradition to visit family graves and light candles for deceased family members. I live far away from my family graves, so I have lit candles for my deceased parents in that small grove:
