My journey into Japanese cooking also led me to try making tonkatsu, a breaded and fried pork cutlet dish. Coating the pork in panko breadcrumbs, frying it until crispy, and serving it with a tonkatsu sauce made from fruity BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and tomato ketchup, recreates the flavors of a Japanese diner favorite right at home.
