Maybe a hot take but; Safe is the only smart contract that can cause a hard fork in Ethereum in case if it has a bug. 

This is why I hold my money at there. 

It is already a big part of Ethereum

What makes people comfortable storing large $ in Gnosis Safe? 

What would it take to replicate that in another smart contract that acts as a user wallet?
