It is a market data point, but what is the essense of a persona? they same thing, it's a data point to give yourself an idea of your market. Let's say you have two persona's one is a designer and one is a developer you could say that most designers have an apple device and like visual context, while a dev persona might go for linux or windows and might be more interested in posting theory or whitepapers. Those are already two different persona's thus you'll have to tailor for both or one at a time. More context is easier to build for as with only personality stats your target is to vague. See it as the difference between quand and qual when you do testing.
