Building secure + reliable self-custodial products is hard – we've been at it for years now BUT it's also an opportunity – you can onboard without needing to incorporate/KYB/etc We think incorporation shouldn't prevent you from accessing modern financial tooling – why we're building https://splits.org/teams/

Update on /splits Compliant Payments: We've integrated Persona in our new recipient KYC flow. In the future, this will allow: - recipients to share their KYC with Bridge to receive compliant payments directly into their bank account - payers to perform additional ID verifications to ensure accurate taxpayer information https://farcaster.xyz/jonathan/0xba31b176

We've been (quietly) cooking - quick 3 min demo of what we've built recently. We're focusing stability/bugs/etc for a bit, which means I have more bandwidth to bring more folks onto the beta - your feedback will help shape the product!

Partially because I don't have a good internal temperature on what the agentic coding stuff can and cannot do. It wasn't all that long ago that I wouldn't trust it for anything other than glorified autocomplete. It surprises me often. The other half of it is that the results provide good barometer on what context might be needed. Similar thought process as shot-based prompting if you're familiar with that concept. It's like teaching someone how to golf, you gotta let them swing the club a few times before you know what to adjust.

My current rule of thumb is to try twice to just have Cursor build it for me. Once with minimal context, once with more specific files linked and more context. I expect nothing from it but it surprises me often!

Have you seen funding.works? It’s similar to this in practice but different in execution. People buy soulbound nfts and the dev gets 10% of the total + a drip of the rest of the pot. Holders can burn their nft for their share of the pot at any time, getting a partial refund.

I got this from my wallet sending to 0x0a2b10589Bb50F0Cdf344285Ed4422eA40004180 on mainnet, which is just one of our Splits Teams smart wallets! Definitely a contract so the warning isn't wrong, I just had to click through that warning twice to send which was not super ideal. Don't want folks to get the wrong idea!

Yeah it's insane how much of law is just based on precedence. Given your comment about the timing and the fact that I see this news on my timeline like once a month, I'd assume they're just ready to lose but extending it for the press.

A lot of my coworkers when I was in consulting were very very good. I think a lot of that is they spent half their time being educated on the latest and greatest best practices, and the other half looking at absolute disasters of codebases. So they knew what to do, what not to do, and how to get from one to the other.

Interesting target too, they're probably going after the smaller team because they know Uncle Sam (altman) would crush them despite the "problem" being pervasive in DallE2 and earlier
