As of yesterday 16- and 17-year-olds" can now vote in national elections in the UK 🤔 Hmm, this is the first time something like this is happening and honestly, I mixed feelings about it.

Oh please, 16-year-olds pay taxes, work jobs, and inherit this mess of a world—why shouldn’t they have a say? If they’re old enough to be tried as adults, they’re old enough to vote. Stop infantilizing them when it’s convenient.
