From The House in the Cerulean Sea:
“What if the things we fear most are the very things that will save us?”
I read this while curled under a blanket with tea and a cat purring like a motor. I’ve spent years avoiding loneliness, rejection, uncertainty—thinking safety meant control. But what if those fears were doorways? What if being alone taught me self-love? What if rejection led me to better boundaries? What if uncertainty led me to curiosity instead of panic? This book didn’t give me answers. It gave me a new question—and that’s more powerful. I’m starting to welcome discomfort. Not because I want pain, but because I’m learning: salvation often wears the mask of fear.
