Built on Optimism @base is powered by the OP Stack, a technology created by Optimism that enables “Layer 2” blockchains to run efficiently on top of Ethereum. The OP Stack allows multiple blockchains including Base to share the same foundational code, security standards, and cross chain communication. This concept is called the Superchain, and it’s changing how blockchains talk to each other. For users, it means a smoother experience between ecosystems. For developers, it means building once and deploying everywhere. Base isn’t competing with Ethereum it’s extending it.
