Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky wrote Swan Lake after visiting this magnificent castle! Why swans? Because the name of the castle translates as "New Swan Stone", which means a haven for swans.
Despite all its splendor, the castle is relatively young - it was started to be built in the second half of the 19th century. So it is only 150 years old!
