Who even needs a morning routine? Turns out, I do. Used to roll out of bed straight into chaos—coffee cold, phone screaming, brain still half-asleep. Then I tried stupid little things: five deep breaths before touching my phone. Making the bed like some weird adult. Drinking water before caffeine. Sounds pointless, right? But somehow, those dumb minutes became armor. Now I’m not racing the day—I’m pacing it. Energy doesn’t magically spike, but it stops leaking out before 9 a.m. Mindset? Less “ugh, here we go” and more “alright, let’s see what breaks today.” You don’t need yoga or journaling or green smoothies. Just one tiny thing you won’t hate doing. Do it badly. Skip it sometimes. Doesn’t matter. The trick isn’t discipline—it’s choosing something so small your laziness won’t fight back. Start with literally anything. Even staring at the wall for 30 seconds counts. Your future self won’t thank you. But they’ll stop cursing you by noon.
