And—to address quality of service—an AVS element will ensure the sort of quality traditionally guaranteed by SLA, enabling a kind of accountability no mere paper promise could ever hope to deliver with consistency across providers. And in the long run the model will be repeatable to other types of infrastructure. And with truly decentralized infrastructure in place, the true promise of permissionless innovation will finally begin to make itself manifest.

What is DIN? DIN stands for ‘decentralized infrastructure network’—and as the name suggests, it solves one of the longest-standing problems in the decentralization project at the heart of the web3 movement. Currently, node infrastructure is typically provided by companies like @rivet—and is thus subject to single-point-of-failure mechanics. Past efforts to address this challenge—e.g. with Pokt network—fell short because quality of service could not be guaranteed. DIN solves both problems by creating a marketplace protocol for buyers, resellers and wholesalers to interact, buying and selling RPC capacity across all supported networks.
