And yeah haydn is underrated (at least from a popularity today perspective) Everyone knows Bach Beethoven and Mozart I would put Haydn up there with them

Oh I never considered it like that, I was always under the impression that as the sizes and virtuosity grew the difficulty would increase, but I guess early brass was a different instrument entirely early on? What would you say is the difference?

All bangers, Tchaikovsky 6 is a surreal experience, Beethoven 3 and 6 are superb, need to relisten to brahms and Shostakovich's work, Live Mendelssohn 3, but more partial to 4. Mahler's 2 symphonies are mind boggling too lol. I'd assume earlier stuff is less interesting to play?

I've been trying for like 10 minutes to figure out how to reply to this 😭😭 Idk man but. I think more of Rick Beato's content should focus on the issues of the industry, rather than complaining about top ten charts - he has the right ideas, I just find them clickbaity and tiresome - kind of like the feeling he has when listening to top ten music 😂 That being said, I understand those videos are the ones that go viral.

Interesting - I really enjoy lots of Rick beato videos - his interviews and deep dives are amazing. When I saw the title of this video - I groaned though Lots of his recent videos are just him bashing the modern music recording industry because people use autotune and multiple songwriters on songs (I agree with him on a lot of stuff, just disliked that random video that everyone disliked - and also his top ten videos of charts). However on watching it I thought it was really informative - didn't know apple ai was that good at separating tracks out, that must be a new update, cos it was pretty average before. Really interesting stuff, and it reinforces my belief that prompt engineers will be another role in the music industry going forward. I just dislike the fact that they aren't declaring whether the band is ai generated or not, that is simply unethical and bad faith. If something you have made as a prompt engineer is ai generated, you must say so in my opinion.

I love New girl, Wiston is one of my favourite characters ever (after the 1st season), Nick and Schmidt too (all seasons) and I love Jess and Cece so basically everyone. Only sitcoms that I like more is community, but New Girl has my favourite characters.

This is a great take - I think farcaster feels more communal - maybe since it's on the blockchain the relationship between creator and consumer is more of a back and forth rather than a like and comment - which I really enjoy

discoverability is a centuries old problem. It has never scaled well for small niche communities in any social context. Pre-social media and it’ll continue to be a problem at scale. This is why the medium changes every time. You either give into the algorithm or live long enough to be the algo. I do think places like Farcaster give content a very different avenue to approach being seen. Simultaneously, everyone is up against human behavior. I actually would love to see more content, but in the end seeing more content isn’t the thing. You need to be able to act on the content, become part of the culture of what the content is saying. If not, you’re just passively consuming and it really doesn’t matter if you see it or not. I think that’s the part that makes Farcaster most interesting. People here don’t just want you see their content, they want you to be part of it. Be “inclusive”, but people got their own baggage and still don’t know how to include themselves into what this meta-modern theme of social media really is. We’re seeing the start of something weird here. And it’s going to take many iterations to get to a final state, and I don’t think it matters if people see me or not. I just want to belong alongside the content.
