When I first joined Base, I was leading builder activation in East Africa. Eddie and I built the community from a handful of builders. Then I added focus to Southern Africa. Same thing. 10+ cities, telling people about Base everywhere.
Then the Base App launched.
That's when it hit me: we're still just getting started. The real opportunity is connecting the great projects our builders create with millions of everyday Africans to get them onchain. Trading, transacting, building wealth without all the barriers that usually lock people out.
