GM. After 3 long years of battling Stage 4 metastatic cancer, my mom is on hospice and has been admitted back into the hospital. My dad, who has been experiencing cognitive decline due to dementia, never leaves her side. ❤️ It’s been an incredibly difficult season watching both of my parents’ health decline, which is why I haven’t been as active. Watching the person who brought you into this world suffer and approach their final days is incredibly heartbreaking, helpless, and profound. This is the second time our family has walked this road this year, as my father-in-law also entered hospice and passed away just 3 months ago. God sustained my mom longer than expected, and I’m grateful for every extra moment we’ve had with her. But I believe He is calling her home very soon, as she has rapidly declined over the past couple of weeks. Please keep our family in your prayers during this difficult time, and hug your loved ones. 😥💔
