I just voted to stay and build a techno-optimist community with the Network School Farcaster core team. We’re going to implement a Singapore-like code to ensure positive-sum behavior within this app, as distinct from the hostility of most social media. It’s an experiment in decentralized digital democracy, where everyone who’s here has freely opted in. Here’s my onchain vote for the new social smart contract: https://basescan.org/tx/0xa5bd70d9ce254794526ad2d5ff8e7bdc4ecfe37cda8d875eec807a7534bce0b5

What a run by @toadyhawk.eth and the BETR team. The community they built was inspiring.
Well done. 🫡

I think I might have an outlier Bad Bunny take?
I didn’t mind him doing the halftime show.
I think he’s just as much an American as I am*, speak enough Spanish to be conversational, love the culture, and generally enjoy his music.
The production quality was great.
But I just found it fairly mid.
Not bad. Not great.

My two cents on complaints about Warpcast being the dominant client for a decentralized protocol:
Bet that most of the complainers use Coinbase. Or Uniswap.
In a decentralized world, the winning clients are first among equals, as voted on by users.
If you don't like Warpcast being the A+ client, build a better one.

In my opinion, a lot of folks need to change their mental model around Farcaster.
Farcaster is the most successful subreddit of all time.
Builder-oriented, early adopters and early capital as value props, etc.
If you think of Farcaster as the next YouTube or X or Instagram, you’re going to be wildly disappointed and perennially cynical.
If you think of Farcaster as the best community of people building and experimenting onchain while sharing ideas of what the future looks like, you’re gonna have a great time.
I have a great time.
