For President, I vote for who I believe is the best leader. If it hits the fan, who do I want captaining the ship. For legislators, I think more about ideology and policy.

As someone with a degree in political science, I’m well aware of the “spectrum” and where I lie. I am not “most of the time”. I say what I mean and mean what I say. I’m a right leaning moderate.

Yeah. I suspect that’s because Trump forked the right and the left has more or less united in reaction.

Yeah those (ideology and policy) are essentially synonymous to me. Agreed on integrity. I add a few other I-words (intelligence, etc). The Office of the President matters most when the country is in unforeseen circumstances, which is also when policy typically takes a backseat.

I actually don’t believe Vance is a yes man. I think he wisely chooses his spots which is a good mark tbh. But if he proves otherwise I’ll be the first to drop him.
