Not enough people are talking about that @privy pay demo from the Privy/Clanker event this past Wednesday. It was Apple Pay from your Warpcast Wallet via NFC. Seamless. Onchain. Easy. It was light years ahead of the abysmal checkout experience for merch at the Summit, which felt like paying with a check.
What is one mini-app or upcoming update/project you learned about this weekend that excited you the most?

crazy part is there was no special collaboration between Warpcast and Privy they just did it without consulting us using existing legos

Yep. Turns out that permissionless onchain data is kind of a thing.

To my knowledge, it was an in-person only demo. Maybe @segall can point in the right direction?

@baseddesigner.eth we got a video of @samuellhuber.eth giving it a spin!
Full circle Farcaster payments at the Farcon Happy Hour! The guy from SF showed me in New York how @payton built a really really cool Farcaster checkout system with @privy They guy from SF is the professional camera man @segall

Whoa what. Connects your apple pay straight to the warplet?

Not Apple Pay itself, but it was an Apple Pay-like experience using your Warpcast Wallet. Just tap a reader and it transacted (I assume using @privy session keys).

We have a fun recording from our HH! warpcast.com/samuellhuber... Will definitely bring it out again to demo live as we make some tweaks :)

Thank you for trying it out! It was great chatting :) @andrewmohawk and I were super stoked to build it out. The combination of the Warpcast Wallet and Mini App URLs (thanks @gabrielayuso.eth !!) made for a really seamless experience. We're really excited about improving the UX of in-person transactions.

Glad to see folks building cool experiences with them already. I wish I could've tried it.

Next time you're in NY, I'd love to show it to you at the Privy office!

From afar that was the biggest thing I saw. Using crypto to do anything irl has been the biggest pain point. Was psyched to see that!

That is fucking rad. Living in NYC i can basically go out 95% of the time and not need a single credit card or my wallet at all, and be able to buy anything. We are getting closer and closer for that to work with crypto.
