It feels hypocritical for someone to be both concerned about AI and birthrate.
If AI is going to dramatically increase efficiencies and lead to the need for far less employees at companies, then why be concerned simultaneously about birth rates?
By all non-economic metrics, we are certainly overpopulated as a planet and have been for some time.
We have long needed a huge population to contribute to our prosperity, but we theoretically won't in the future.
Curious to hear thoughts from folks who have done far more deep diving into these two topics on how the intertwine.
