Okay, so as you guys know, I've been using a combination of AI tools to create short form videos about mental health for my YouTube.
I really have only used Gemini for Nano Banana to create images to help prompt my videos.
Well, today, I asked it what kinds of YouTube integrations it has.
Since both are owned by Google, Gemini has much more information about YouTube than competitive models.
I had a long discussion with it (I can link in the comments if anyone wants to read) where I essentially asked it to provide an analysis of my account, specifically details on a few topics:
1) if my account, which is all AI videos, is in compliance both with the rules of YouTube and what the algorithm looks for when choosing videos to show users
2) what made my best video get the number of views that it did compared to my other Shorts videos
3) why some videos start hot and fall off while others do nothing and then randomly start being seen later
4) tips for how to improve visibility of my videos and account going forward
This was incredibly insightful, and while there were a few bugs I had to prompt around, like choosing the wrong videos for my most viewed video, I found the insights so helpful.
Compare that to other social platforms where you simply post mindlessly and hope something sticks, and it is clear that growth is going to be easier on platforms where the company also owns an LLM and can integrate it with its social platform.
I now have actionable items to consider and implement going forward, which feels incredibly productive.
I imagine that doing this occasionally will really help to elevate the growth of my channel over the rest of the year compared to if I didn't have Gemini to assist with these reviews.
