In v4.1, Clanker is adding a descending fee mechanism to increase costs for snipers, benefiting token creators and non-automated buyers

Fees will start at 80% and decay to 5% over 30 seconds

w/o knowing a lot about this my first q is wont snipers just wait 30s and then snipe? this doesn’t seem like long enough for a non trivial number of non automated actors to enter so assuming it must be more abt the game theory of sniping?

we have most of our snipes happening in the first 30 seconds rn! we’ll monitor and adjust if necessary. recommend checking out the dashboard we made!:

Tbh snipers can just tune their bots to start firing after 30s, so that’s not really a blocker. The bigger problem is clanker being super plugged into socials folks scrape dev info straight from fid, twitter api, etc. and with the auction module it’s basically free arb. Still, nice to see the team finally making moves on this front.
