Base is an Ethereum-compatible Layer 2 (L2) chain built on the OP-Stack. It inherits Ethereum’s security while offering much lower fees and faster transactions.
Because Base is EVM-compatible, virtually any smart contract or decentralized app (dApp) that works on Ethereum can be deployed or used on Base with little to no modification.
