Potato salad and sausages "The classic among classics"
In 36 percent of German households, potato salad with sausages is on the table on Christmas Eve. This simple classic, however, can sometimes dampen the festive spirit. The so-called " mayo equator" divides Germany culinarily: In the north, potato salad is served with mayo, creamy and rich. In the south, it's made with broth, vinegar, and oil – lighter and refreshingly summery, even in winter. My family and I enjoy the classic version with mayo for the holidays. What about you?
