What is life like in small towns in Iceland?
I guess the answer can be summed up in one word; isolated. Once you get away from the Reykjavik/Keflavik area the population thins out dramatically. Akureyri, frequently called the capital of the north, has only a little over 18,000 people but is the second largest urban area in Iceland.
