Here’s my photography of a procelain dancer by Agathon Léonard! Here’s the information about it: These figures were inspired by the sinuous movements and voluminous costumes of the American dancer Loie Fuller, who performed in Paris in the late 1800s and early 1900s. They are part of a set of fifteen that the Sèvres porcelain factory displayed at the Paris world's fair of 1900. Sèvres arranged the unglazed porcelain figures to form a theatrical centerpiece for a dining table, naming it Jeu de l'Écharpe (Dance of the Scarves). Agathon Léonard received the gold prize at the fair for his design of the set and Sèvres subsequently produced it in several porcelain editions as well as in bronze.
