Bitcoin After This Morning’s Flash Crash: Will the Uptrend Resume?
Today (Jan 19, 2026), BTC flash-crashed from ~$95,500 to a low of ~$91,900 in the Asia session, then recovered. It’s now trading around $92,800–$93,200 (down ~2–3% on the day but stabilizing).
Trigger: Cascade of ~$680–785M long liquidations (total crypto liqs ~$850–900M) amid thin liquidity + risk-off from U.S.-EU tariff threats and geopolitical noise.
Bullish case (higher probability IMO):
• Classic leverage washout: Overleveraged longs wiped, quick rebound shows strong dip buying.
• Techs still solid — held key support near 50-day MA (~$91–92k), higher lows intact.
• History shows these headline-driven dips in bull markets often become buy opportunities.
Bearish risks:
• Escalating tariffs/macro fears could extend risk-off, testing $90k or lower.
• If momentum flips, some see potential for deeper correction.
Bottom line is: More likely a healthy shakeout than reversal.
Thank you guys!!
