The Grinch didnβt steal Christmas, the grid did. Severe winter conditions caused power outages from Boston to Chicago, and everywhere in between. Capacity was strained, and demand has never been higher due to EVs and data centers. A backup battery couldβve helped your home keep the tree lit, space heaters blasting, and snow blower charged & ready to go.

We need to start thinking about the grid more like a blockchain. Each house can be a node, coordinating together to support a greater network. Energy is an asset with value that can be generated and shared. Decentralization only makes networks stronger and more resilient. Watch Daylight co-founder @jasonbadeaux explain the idea behind virtual power plants. When multiple backup batteries are orchestrated together, they can step up to support the grid when capacity is strained. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/tqaG58BsmlA
