Base vs Ethereum Mainnet (for beginners) Ethereum Mainnet the foundation. Most secure, most decentralized, but gas fees are high and transactions are slower. @base.base.eth a Layer 2 built on Ethereum. Much cheaper fees, faster transactions, and easier for new users to start. Mainnet is where value is secured. Base is where users actually move, test, and build. Think of Ethereum as the highway. Base is the fast local road for daily use.

Everything is simplified from wallets to interfaces to transaction flows so users can focus on exploring instead of struggling with the tech.
