There’s a number on a DEX swap screen that’s easy to ignore:
Minimum Received.
The Estimated Amount tells you what you’re expected to receive.
Minimum Received tells you the lower bound after your slippage tolerance is applied.
So if the quote says:
Estimated → 100 tokens
Minimum → 98 tokens
You’re not looking at two different quotes.
You’re looking at the expected outcome and the protection limit.
