I've always been naturally curious, self-motivated learner. I've got loved ones who are ambitious, but struggle to direct that energy. After the Meta AI glasses showcase recently, been thinking about that leaked internal Google video from 2016 called The Selfish Ledger: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUSZfEBTwRc It paints a black mirror style vision where vast data collection subtly shapes user behavior and even societal outcomes. Unsettling puts it mildly, but so is the thought of being unable to reach our full potential, no? I'm no fan of cloud-dependent hardware. That said, I can see a case where ppl who have the will, but not the direction, can greatly benefit from an AI that sees and hears what they see and hear, and is able to nudge them towards their goals. There are open source versions the works (Brilliant Labs / MentraOS) which can turn this vision into one that respects privacy, tho I wonder if it means toning down serendipity that comes with being connected to an all-knowing all seeing AI.
