Great discussion here (and thanks for mentioning my piece "Quality Writing is Systemic," @trigs.eth).
In this context I'd also include the concept of / 10 thinking from "In Praise of Going Slow" by @tombeck.eth, which I keep coming back to over and over again.
One bright spot is that real recognizes real, as the saying goes. People who have actually done the hard work themselves can usually suss out the fakers pretty quickly.
