Thanks for the tag. These are *really* hard problems. I think about them every day. Others who may be interested in reading this thread: @abundance @eirrann.eth @y0b @bradq @mrmemes.eth I think philanthropy will play a part in supporting writers long term. I like the "club goods" idea @trigs.eth mentioned, and @matthewb's idea of creators-in-residence (mentioned elsewhere). But philanthropy isn't well developed in crypto yet. More experiments, please! I agree with @mark and @rileybeans that the most realistic approach is to monetize something other than the writing. As Leigh Stein wrote: "What work do I have to do to get paid, in order to do the work that pays nothing?" However, that adds additional labor on top of work that's already quite demanding, so it increases the risk of burnout.
