Interesting thread on the shortcomings of the word "tip" when giving to artists.
I hope we'll eventually move beyond "tipping" and toward "gifting" or "patronage."
An important point:
"...the value is flowing two ways. If I give to an artist, it is because I have derived enjoyment from what they have produced."
