Sounds intriguing! I'd be interested to follow your progress on this if you plan to share anything publicly. I've been thinking along similar lines (especially with the gift culture aspect).
Behind the scenes I've been working with a collaborator to develop an outline of something I've been calling a "slowcore-friendly economic model," but progress has been rather slow... lol.
The book sounds right up my alley. Added to my wish list.
