PSA for the Mac users out there but DO NOT UPGRADE to Tahoe. It's a massive battery hog and runs hot. Wait for Apple to fix these before you upgrade. Not to mention the random bugs I'm running into - Finder keeps freezing, Chrome takes minutes to close, etc. Image below shows past 10 day usage. I upgraded on Sunday and you can see how much more energy it's using despite less actual usage. Stay away from Tahoe!

Man.. these AI app generators are supercharging phishing. I got a from email “Puma” sent from a Salesforce email address; the clickthrough landed on a Vercel app called “workwithpuma-remotely" and asked me to log in with Facebook. Reminder to stay vigilant, even more so as these apps democratize phishing.

Costco stores every receipt behind a simple API. I reverse-engineered the calls, asked AI to turn the cURL into a loop, and spun up a quick dashboard. Video → how to: 1. sniff the network traffic 2. feed the cURL into AI, get a loop back 3. ship a custom BI view in minutes Code + live demo here ⬇️

I'm on a 4h flight and refusing to pay $25 for Wi-Fi but saw that there was a way to watch an ad to get 20 mins. Unfortunately, they only let you do this once. I dug around the network requests and saw "deviceId" being passed in the request, discovered that it was server-side, and flipped my MIAC via ifconfig after reading the "man" pages. Now I have repeatable 20-minute chunks of wifi. As much as I love AI this had no AI involvement. Just some old school debugging.

I’ve been singing Claude Code's praises to anyone who will listen and wanted to share a quick recording of how I used it to edit videos using ffmpeg. Claude Code “orchestrated” ffmpeg and whipser to resize, transcribe, and add special effects to a video via pure prompting. Editing video through a CLI feels wild and makes me question how many UI tools we actually need.
