Thoughtpiece: TGE ≈ First Sex in a New Relationship This might ruffle feathers but I’ve held this view for years. If both people in a new relationship aren’t on some purity mission, it’s better to sleep together early. Get it out the way. See what’s real after the post-nut clarity. Same goes for Projects and their Token Generation Events. So many projects stall, tease, over-optimize user farming and do endless pre-token quests just because they’re scared of what comes after. That tells me one thing. They have nothing else to offer. TGE is their final act. The projects I respect treat TGE like a checkpoint, not a curtain call. Take Kaito. They didn’t drag out some endless points game. They built hype, launched the token, and just kept shipping. The product got better. The usage didn’t drop off. If anything, they’re doing more numbers now than pre-TGE.

Meanwhile, some other protocols keep dangling carrots, buying time, delaying the inevitable. And when they finally launch? All the users disappear. Because the product was never the value, only the illusion of value was. A strong protocol should be confident enough to say: We’re here. Here’s our token. Now watch us build. If as a project you’re delaying TGE again and again, ask yourself why. Because to me, it’s like being in a 7-month situationship and still acting like you need more time. Nah. You either got it or you don’t.
