16mo daughter still not walking. Crawls like a maniac, walks great holding hands — just refuses to go solo. She’s a big girl (90+ percentile heigh & weight), so maybe just taking her time. Ped suggested PT soon if we wanted but feels a rushed. Anyone else skip PT and let it play out?

We waited on walking and speech therapy, now they’re running all over the place and won’t shut up.

A friend in a similar situation years ago told me that her mother said "nobody looks at a 12 year-old and says 'oh, you're such a good walker,' and she stopped caring. It sorted itself out eventually.

I would not freak out about it and bet she will learn just fine in time I slowly went from holding hands to holding three, two fingers to one finger to pinky only… wonder if that would help ease the transition?
